Exceptional Student Education: Lower Functioning Autism

The student will be able to demonstrate competence in effective listening and communication skills, understanding the biology and characteristics of autism, the ability to differentiate between various aspects of ABA behavior analysis, completing a functional behavior analysis, identifying challenging behaviors, identifying and developing appropriate curriculum, applying various instructional techniques in the classroom, understanding the components of life skills, social skills, and communication skills instruction, and researching best practices.
