Short Course Description

SkillForge Simulator Lab™ · OPM HR 2.0 Simulator Lab™

Case 001: Due Process Under Pressure

The course teaches the governing rule. The lab makes the learner protect the rule while facts, people, deadlines, and institutional pressure collide.

Course → Lab → Evidence → Coaching → Verified Mastery

The companion course establishes the legal standard and source-verification habit. This specialty-tailored lab then places the learner in the role of Dana Brooks, Senior Employee Relations Specialist, to make and defend decisions across nine procedural gates.

  1. Review the governing standard and source documents.
  2. Enter the 10-minute interactive simulator and complete all nine decision gates.
  3. Save the Decision Fidelity result and identify one procedural risk.
  4. Complete the coach/mentor assignment in the linked OPM HR 2.0 SkillForge Review Cohort.
  5. Use feedback and peer reflection to target practice, repeat the relevant gate, and verify mastery.

Coach/mentor assignment: Submit a score snapshot, one challenged decision, the controlling source, and a short corrective-action plan. The coach or mentor reviews reasoning—not simply the selected answer—and records recommended remediation.

Completion standard: Finish all nine decision gates, complete the final process audit, and participate in the guided post-lab review.

Connected demonstration support

Open the private OPM HR 2.0 SkillForge Review Cohort for peer discussion, coach and mentor guidance, office hours, source-verification prompts, and agency monitoring.

Educational simulation: All people, facts, and outcomes are fictional. This demonstration does not imply endorsement by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and does not replace agency counsel, policy, delegations, or collective-bargaining obligations. Do not post personally identifiable or case-sensitive information in the cohort.
