Short Course Description
The 32-hour course teaches the standards. The AI Simulator Lab makes the learner apply them under realistic investigative pressure.
Learning pathway: First, the participant completes the separate New EEO Investigator Certificate Program — MD-110 (32 Hours). Next, the participant enters this applied AI Simulation Lab to practice investigation planning, evidence development, interviewing, credibility analysis, issue framing, accommodation and retaliation evidence, ROI assembly, redaction, and quality assurance. Finally, the participant uses the private cohort for instructor office hours, source verification, peer reflection, assignment review, coaching, and feedback.
Prerequisite: Completion of the 32-hour New EEO Investigator Certificate Program or documented equivalent training approved by the sponsoring organization. This lab is supplemental applied practice; it is not presented as the initial 32-hour course.
Authority and standards: Lab activities reinforce the federal-sector EEO complaint-process requirements in 29 C.F.R. Part 1614 and the investigator-training, impartiality, evidence-development, and Report of Investigation standards in EEOC Management Directive 110. Learners must verify current EEOC guidance and applicable agency procedures before acting in a live matter.
Applied practice: Across 13 practice modules and 78 interactive scenes, learners make investigative decisions and prepare eleven professional work products using the fictional Ellis case record. Coaches and mentors may assign selected modules to strengthen specific competency gaps rather than requiring every learner to repeat material already mastered.
Review and remediation: A qualified instructor reviews designated products, provides written feedback, identifies strengths and improvement areas, and may require targeted revisions or a simulation retry. Cohort discussions use sanitized fictional facts only.
Completion: Lab completion requires all assigned simulations, mastery checks, designated work products, satisfactory instructor review, and the ROI quality-assurance capstone. The lab completion record is separate from the 32-hour course certificate.
