This course introduces the Emotional Intelligence (EI) concept, the impact of EI on the world of business, especially in the areas of leadership and employee development. Some of the topics covered: what is EI and what are characteristics of emotional intelligent individuals; how leaders and professionals (including mediators and attorneys) can use this theory to assess their own emotions; how to use EI to better understand other people’s emotions; what is the EI impact on performance; understand the role of EI in increasing personal success; how to use EI as a change management strategy.
